Playtime…
New Romance! This time with history!
This is an M/F romance, but I wrote it quite a while ago for Blushing Books and I rather like it, so I’m posting mention of it here in the hopes you might feel the same way. This is my first real historical romance, involving a criminal British heroine sentenced to transportation and sent off to Australian shores.
(Cross-posted from Lokirenard.com.)
Young Jane Wilde was once a noblewoman, but the coming of a dark plague and winds of ill fortune have led her to the streets of London where she survives on her wits alone, stealing enough food to eat, and fencing enough pretty jewelry to keep a roof over her head.
Unfortunately for the once Lady Wilde, the British empire is still in an expansive state and intends to settle the far off Australian continent not only as a penal colony, but as a lawful outpost of the empire. To that end they need women to sate the lusts of the criminal men already languishing in that desolate place. When Jane is caught stealing bread and put before a judge, her sentence is inevitable: deportation.
Once aboard the transportation ship Jane catches the eye of Master Roake, the man charged with overseeing discipline. Jane thinks him cruel and harsh, but her fear does not quell her natural defiance. Indeed, her rebellious nature sets her across his path many times – and equally many times across his knee.
Jane’s proud nature cannot bring her to submit to the man who wields leather as naturally as he breathes. As for Master Roake, he is not a man given easily to sentiment, nor his he accustomed to finding true ladies on his ship and under his lash. And yet, each time they meet in a clash of wills and reddened flesh, a fondness grows.
Soon they will make land. Jane will be forced to serve her sentence in one of the female factories and Master Roake will once more set sail for England. Love is no match for the mighty British Empire.
Or is it?

He’s A Kitty!
Yes he is! This is my little kitty, sleeping in the shoebox which I have cleverly placed upon my desk, knowing that kitties cannot resist boxes. Now I can get a little work done on occasion.

Happy Mew Year
This is the kitten who has decided I should be snuggling him instead of doing any writing. This is the snuggliest, lovingest, most cuddly little kitten in the whole world, I think. He has an inexhaustible supply of purrs and is happiest when belly up in the crook of my arm, padding little paws into thin air. This is who is most occupying my new year, and it is not a bad way to see in a new year at all. Today I also went to the beach and then took my two puppies out to the river and they swam for the first time. T’was a day spent in nature, honoring that which is most basic. And it was awesome.
Here’s a little something inspiring for your New Year:
Wow. Such Story!
Heyas!
Two things. One, Lesbia has been updating, which you may not be aware of if you haven’t gone to http://sapphosbrats.com/lesbia and subscribed to the updates there.
Two, I’ve finally got a handle on how this SKF forum story is going to work. If you’re interested in being involved or seeing what’s going to happen, go and check out the SKF Forum , post title ‘Le Story’.
Pickle Juice

I love this interview, all except the part at the very end where she sort of backs off and second guesses herself.
Cuffs @ #30 In Lesbian Romance!
Woo! Thanks so much to everyone who picked up Cuffs so far. The book is currently sitting at #60 #30 #22 for Lesbian Romance on Amazon.com, which is awesome. It’s also at #18 #15 in the ‘Hot New Lesbian Releases’ section.
UPDATE: Cuffs is now at #4 in the UK for Lesbian Romance, and #7 overall in the general Lesbian category!
UPDATE UPDATE: I realize posts like this look braggy as fuck, but that’s not the point of them. The reason I get so excited when these books do well is because they’re my favorite to write and the better they do, the more I get to write of them. So thank you all, again. ‘Cause your awesomeness makes this awesomeness possible.
It has been a really long time since I wrote an entirely new lesbian romance – the last entirely new lesbian romance story I wrote was actually Trinity in Trouble back in December 2011. Of course the Rigel and Lesbia series have been written since then, but this is the first stand-alone piece in two years.
And I love it.
I love all my books and characters of course, I wouldn’t write them if I didn’t, but I really enjoyed these two characters and their dynamic, which is highly erotically charged but also very emotionally engaged. The romance between Jerry and Lara really flowed and their contrasting natures were fun to write.
Thank you again, everyone, for your support. You all rock!
Cuffs (Lesbians Dangereux) Lesbian Romance
It’s here! It’s here! Really, it is!
Jerry Schwartz is an undercover, plain clothes, and just plain trouble police officer. Part of the vice squad, she’s always been happy slumming it in the underworld – until a routine traffic stop puts her at odds with a beautiful woman who turns out to be her new boss.
Lara Ashcroft is a British expat with a talent for firm, but fair leadership. Brought in to whip the Belfort vice unit into shape, she expects resistance from much of the squad – but she doesn’t expect to fall in love with its most difficult member on her very first day.
Accustomed to running rings around an indifferent chain of command, Jerry has some adjusting to do when it comes to Lara’s strict new regime. And Lara? Well Lara might just have met her match.
Hot Fries | Lesbian Romance Coming Soon :D
I’m getting very close to releasing the new ebook! It’s very contemporary, very romantic and very erotic. That’s three verys. Here’s another excerpt from the soon to be finished and soon to be titled book…
Drop made, Jerry felt more like her old self. Nothing like spending a little time rubbing shoulders with the raw edge of society to make her feel alive. On the way back to Belmont, she stopped at a drive-through and picked up some food. Chocolate thickshake, cheeseburger and fries. Thinking of Lara, she picked up an extra burger and fries and a diet soda. That trim figure of Lara’s didn’t come from full sugar sodas.
