It’s pretty obvious that Little Miss and the Law was the crowd favorite, so here’s the first part of your free story. I do hope you enjoy!
It was a humid, rainy day. The sort of day that made everything dreary and awful. It was a day for squeaking rubber soles and flappy nylon umbrellas. It was a day for driving slow and arriving late. It was a day for complications and problems.
Mackenzie drummed her pen against the smooth wood of her desk and glared out the rain smeared window. She didn’t like being made to wait. She especially didn’t like being made to wait where her subordinates were concerned, yet she was being forced to wait regardless, and by a paralegal, no less.
Whilst she waited, she reviewed the document in front of her again and let out an exasperated sigh. This would not do. It would not do at all. She was gloomily pondering why standards seemed to be slipping about the place when a tap at the door announced the arrival of her victim.
The tapper was Susan Barnes, a paralegal who’d been with the company three months, more than long enough to know better than to keep her boss waiting. The young woman stood in the doorway uncertainly, as if the floor of Mackenzie’s office might be made of lava.
“Come in,” Mackenzie said without smiling, standing up and buttoning the middle button of her dark tailored suit as she did. Mackenzie was a tall woman, as tall as most men and when she wore heels, as she commonly did, she was taller still. Unlike other tall women who often hunched their shoulders, Mackenzie had never tried to hide her height.

Did she know how much she looked like a little girl when she pouted like that? Mackenzie thought probably not as she watched the woman rifling through her handbag crossly. She was wearing a stiff, starched white shirt with a tie that made her look somewhere between the school girl she most definitely wasn’t, and the executive Mackenzie guessed she probably was.
“Dammit!” the woman swore under her breath. It was a voluminous bag. Maybe it held some cash, maybe it didn’t. An expedition lead by Sir Edmund Hilary may very well not have been able to confirm or deny, so full was it of other things.
The bored barista, all piercings and bust and brightly colored falls, looked unconcerned. “It’s $5.95, lady,” she reiterated with a snap of gum between her teeth.
“$5.95? I remember when a dollar got you a coffee and a muffin,” the harassed business woman responded, stopping midway through her search to frown at the barista.
“Yeah, well, this ain’t the stone age anymore, lady,” the wench replied with the arrogance of youth.
The woman glared at her and from across the cafe, Mackenzie joined in her glare.
Standing up fluidly, she brushed down her sleek black pantsuit and drifted across to the counter. “Here, allow me,” she said, depositing a ten dollar note on the counter.
The business woman looked flustered, confused, slightly angry as she looked up at Mackenzie with wide hazel eyes. “Thank you, that’s so kind, you didn’t have to…” she said gratefully.
“I wanted to,” Mackenzie smiled her broad smile, the one that made people fall over themselves to please her just to bask in its warmth. She leaned against the counter casually, one hand on her hip, the other resting atop the perspex shield.
“I’m Mackenzie,” she introduced herself.
“Stephanie, Stephanie Morris,” the other woman stammered.

You didn’t think you were only getting a rant today, did you? No! It is story day! To be precise, it is the day on which I am releasing the 11th chapter of Little Miss and the Law. In this chapter, Jake breaks every rule in the book. Hardly surprising, I agree, after all, breaking rules is what brats do. What happens to brats after they break the rules though, that can sometimes be unpredictable.
Enjoy!
Jake glowered under furrowed brows as Archer stalked away from her and towards the front gates, her rounded derriere swaying the sway of a derriere belonging to a woman who knows how to use her body for maximum effect. Caught somewhere between lust and jealousy, Jake growled a quiet little growl in the base of her throat. She’d had enough of this place. Enough of Archer’s manner of dealing with everyone around her as if they were simply pawns or feeble minded children.
Not everyone felt the way Jake did though, a fact made obvious by the two women who stood nervously in front of the gates giggling nervously as Archer approached and then strode back and forth in front of them, evidently delivering some impressive speech. They were practically drooling over her as they visibly squirmed in place.
“Fuck this,” Jake muttered to herself. It was bad enough being kidnapped and locked up here without having to watch every person in the place fawn over Archer as if she were a goddess incarnate.
At the edge of Jake’s vision, the glaring blue of her horrid overalls enforced the bizarre reality of her predicament further. Wearing these things she looked like just another paying customer taking a break from the cares of everyday life. But she wasn’t a paying customer, and she’d be dammed if she’d play along nicely with Archer’s attempts to use her as some kind of example for the others. It was time that Ms Archer learned that just because you hit someone, it doesn’t mean they’ll respect you, and it doesn’t mean they’ll learn anything.
“I ain’t learning a damn thing!” Jake promised herself under her breath.

Ohh ohh! And how’s about a few cute shots of a fan-made ‘Jake’, created in The Sims 3. If you’re a Sims 3 player who wants the Jake download, or if you’ve made any of your own characters, get in touch!

I had a particularly good night last night, and so I decided that as a special Saturday bonus of Awesomeness I would waive the week’s wait and share the next part of Little Miss and the Law, which features Hunter (who is so dreamy, dreamy, I tell you!) also Archer, who is still full of her dangerous dominatrix self.
In future, or rather, generally, story updates are made weekly. If you haven’t already, subscribe to Sappho’s Brats through the email updates thingy on the sidebar, or through the newfangled RSS. That will save you a lot of pressing F5 to see if the site has updated, and may even prevent the onset of RSI. I do this because I care. I care lots
Hunter smiled and tilted his head to the side, as if he were considering her plea. Jake looked up at him hopefully, a puppy dog plastered firmly on her face until he relented.
“Okay, but you stay by my side, no wandering off. If you do, you’ll be right back here before you know what’s happening, understand?” His tone was firm, but unlike so many of the people who had cause to discipline Jake, there was no note of frustration or annoyance in it. Jake found herself warming quickly to Hunter, especially as she remembered how quickly and easily he had caught her earlier in the dim light. He was a pretty talented guy, one that didn’t have any trouble keeping up with her.
