The Brats of St Bestoras, that is. This is a tidied up edition of one of the earlier Sappho’s Brats books. It has a shiny new cover, but if you already bought it I wouldn’t bother buying it again as it’s pretty much all the same stuff.

What sort of book is this? Well, it’s non-sexual F/F.  It contains the sorts of spankings you get from a stern teacher or a bossy older sister. It is full of very naughty girls doing very naughty things and one of them has access to a dragon – so you can imagine how that might go.

“St Bestoras is a college for the elite. Here we do not mollycoddle, we do not cosset and we do not give extensions for any reason. I do not care if your entire family was consumed by dragons. In fact, consider your families consumed by dragons at the outset and your lives will be much easier. Please note that no refunds will be given for unexpected deaths or cosmic translocations occurring after a thirty day grace period.”

Ace Frost is beginning her first year at the St Bestoras College for the Dark Arts. She’s already made a new friend, the fiery Isogarde the Terrible and things are looking good for the young woman who always dreamed of becoming a witch.

Having bonded in the first few minutes of their time at St Bestoras, Ace and Isogarde set their classmates on fire, shoot one another with elemental bolts, rip doors off hinges and earn the ire of the Mistress of Discipline who has no qualms about using a sturdy cane to make her point.

Will they ever learn to behave themselves? Or will they go down in history as the Brats of St Bestoras?

(Hint: They won’t ever learn.)

Fans of my vampire series Finn the Devourer might find something titillating in the rather long short story Eventide, a cut down and concentrated version of a series I wrote a while back, in which a naughty lesbian vampire gets herself into some serious trouble with Master and Mistress vampires alike.

As for Flora and the Dead Men, well, that’s a little Western short with zombies and a bit of spanking. I don’t think that needs to be sold any harder than that. Hell, I’ve sold myself just reading that and I wrote it. Like Eventide, Flora will also one day be published in novel format, but in the meantime I see no reason why we shouldn’t enjoy the short version.

In addition to these three main attractions are several erotic shorts scattered about the place.

Part Four

Atrocious returned to the inn, where she and Ayla said absolutely nothing to one another. Ayla was so absorbed in her potion making that a small battle could have taken place outside and she probably wouldn’t have paid any attention. Being ignored did not help Atrocious’ mood at all. She sat in the corner of the inn near the door, brooding silently whilst Ayla stirred her cauldron.

Rogette and Kira turned up a couple of hours later. Rogette was looking very well satisfied with a smirk on her face like a cat that had gotten into the cream. The robber was dressed in a robe that was about two sizes too big for her – obviously something she’d stolen at the last moment to make up for her shredded clothing that was probably still littering the bushes. Kira didn’t seem any different, but she did have her arm draped possessively over Rogette’s shoulders, which pissed Atrocious off for reasons she couldn’t quite put her finger on.

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? It’s been a while, but Atrocious and Rogette and Ayla and Kira are all back and doing things. If you remember from last time, when we left off Atrocious was about to be destroyed by Kira for depriving her of her spanky prey.

Part Three

“What else is new,” Atrocious scowled. “I regret everything I’ve ever done. What makes you think I give a damn if you hit me now? Go on.” She put her hands down and took a step into Kira’s range. “Go on then. Hit me and make yourself feel better. Someone might as well feel good.”

With a sort of mad inspiration provided by wild hormonal imbalance, Atrocious had managed to say one of the very few things capable of stopping an angry Kira in her tracks. Instead of grabbing the little thief and thrashing her on the spot, Kira stopped and looked at her with an incredulous expression on her face.

Once robber and thief had been wrangled down from the roof and into the inn, things quickly became interesting. Kira was clearly still interested in punitive action, but she’d given her word it would not occur. She stood with her back to the fireplace, her arms folded across her chest, her expression watchful and grim. Atrocious and Rogette sat very close together at a little table, smiling and whispering all sorts of little secrets and jokes to one another, which only served to make Kira glower all the more.

“How long are we planning on staying here?” The warrior’s impatience got the better of her yet again as she turned to her magical friend.

“A week or so,” Ayla said calmly. She had lit the fireplace and was boiling a travel sized cauldron atop the flames. A scattering of various dried herbs was laid out around her and she seemed quite absorbed in her work, though she had not stated precisely what her work was. A few strands of her pale hair had worked their way loose and floated about her face, making her look ethereal and somehow dainty.

“It’s good you’re staying,” Rogette said to Atrocious. “I can show you a few things.”

“You can show me how you climb the way you do,” Atrocious said admiringly. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“It’s easy, you just need some practice,” Rogette said. “Come on, I’ll show you in the forest.” The two young women scraped their stools back and made for the door, but were stopped by Kira’s voice.

“No.” Kira said firmly. “Atrocious isn’t going anywhere.”

The second series of the Lesbia chronicles returns, all secondy and whatnot. It starts where the last series ended, you know, chronologically. Except now it’s titled ‘Rogette the Great’ to mark the new era.

Not content to gloat about her daring rescue, the robber danced down off the roof. She was supremely graceful in her acrobatics as she leaped from the thatch to a tree then slid down to the ground. Atrocious, who was not quite so ready to come down and put herself back in the warrior’s path, stayed safely above the fray as an observer.

“Come out here, crone!” Rogette called from the clearing in front of the inn. She was staying well clear of the door, keeping her flight options open. One funny move from Kira and the robber would be able to disappear into the dense undergrowth.

Kira came out and stood a sword’s length away from the robber, her arms folded over her chest. Kira was an impressive sight, especially when her temper rose. All the leather and steel she wore seemed to bristle with her, making her something more than just a woman.

Happy New Year, Sapphic Brats

Thanks for all your support and enthusiasm over the last year, it’s been a lot of fun, especially with the most recent series. I’ve taken a little break, because when your readers write to you and tell you that they think you’re working too hard then maybe you should listen to them. It’s only a little break though, a mini-break. A br.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful New Years and flourish in 2012. Like flowers. Little naughty spanky flowers.

As I’ve been doing a bunch of cleaning and sorting and fantasy writing lately (not necessarily in that order) I’ve gone back and dusted off one of my earliest F/F novellas, Rogue the Serpent and given it a bit of a going over and a shiny new cover. If you haven’t read Rogue before and you like the idea of bratty little aristocrats being shown their place by strong noble ladies with a dose of fantasy thrown in for good measure, you’re in for a treat.

This is Part 25, and because it’s Part 25, I have something a little bit special planned. Because this series has been running since September and it’s getting all unweildly, I’m going to go ahead and call everything leading up to and including this post ‘Volume One’ and I’m going to release all of Volume One in a single ebook download. It’s formatted so that you can read it on your PC, or on your laptop or on your Kindle or Nook or Super-E-Reader-5000 or iPad or any other device along those lines.

There had been a few instances in the pastwhere they had butted heads, but none of them had the quiet intensity of that moment. Ayla sat crosslegged and perfectly still whilst Kira shuffled uncomfortably. Atrocious could sense that Kira had already lost before they’d even begun, but why? She was strong, incredibly powerful in her own right. Now that Atrocious’ temper had settled she was amazed she’d had the nerve to go after the warrior at all. Overnight Kira had shed some of the weight of her armor and was wearing a simple leather tunic and pants. Her arms were free and bare and covered from shoulder to elbow in curling tattoos that Atrocious knew must have hurt like hell to get. Underneath the tattoos, toned muscles rippled with even the slightest movement of her arms.

In comparison, Ayla seemed weak. She was not quite delicate in appearance, but the naturally refined set of her features did not lend themselves to violence. By all rights, Kira should have been able to dominate Ayla easily, and yet she did not. For all her bluster and insistence on order, Kira came second to Ayla.

Nibbling at her chocolate, Atrocious noted that Kira wasn’t pleased by the fact. Her handsome features were slipping ever closer to a full blown pout, making her look incongruously childish.

“Are we going to need a demonstration?” Ayla pressed the question softly.
