“It needs to be tighter and shorter.”
“It can’t be tighter and shorter. The armor will show.”
“Then take the armor off. You won’t need it.”
“I’d prefer to keep it on.”

Here’s is a quick breakdown of recent events for people who might have read some of it, but not all of it, or who like reading summaries of things they already read.
And precap time too. (A precap is where you recap things you haven’t actually posted yet. It’s like precognition, but with fewer letters.)
A prisoner of her own prison!
Liz is somewhat a prisoner of her own silliness, but mostly of the sinfully butch warriors Kira and Trebuchet. Her fate is yet to be determined, but as Lesbia’s most normal sized giant and secret witch, it’s probably going to be somewhat chaotic.
Fires in trees confound logic!
Ayla and Vix have been lured into the elven realm where there are fireplaces in trees. Inside trees! So many logistical concerns! Ayla’s mother is on the loose, which is a surprise to Ayla because she had presumed her mother was dead under a not inconsiderable pile of obsidian. Turns out it’s hard to keep an evil elf down.
And coming soon…
Queen Cadentis solves a problem involving beets. Yes mama, beets. Because a real queen, even one masquerading as one of her own guard needs to be a proactive problem solver. She can give you several examples of a time she used her lateral thinking skills to effect an ideal solution. She’s customer focused, she’s driven and she’s excited to take on any job that comes her way with all the inexplicable passion modern employers expect people to bring to minimum wage positions. She knows nothing about any of this, but she would be just as good at making your latte as ruling your realm.

Liz is not a popular figure. Liz doesn’t care.
Some time later after Vix had been comforted appropriately and the embers of the fire had died down leaving most of the group slumbering nearby, Liz alone was left awake.
She was standing at the mouth of the cave gazing up into the stars when Alya’s fingers slid through her hair from behind. The witch gently drew Liz’s head back so she was forced to look upwards and backwards.
“That was not nice,” Ayla said mildly, giving Liz’s hair a little tug.
In spite of her uncomfortable arched position, a slow smile spread over Liz’s face and a little twinkle established itself firmly in her eye. “What wasn’t?”
“What you did to Vix.”
“I didn’t do anything to Vix.”
Running to escape the slaps, Sakura hurtled into their quarters, her hands covering her backside. “I get to go out,” she crowed. “And you can’t stop me!” She jumped up on the bed, beaming broadly. “I get to go ouuuutt, and you can’t stooop me,” she sung, dancing back and forth, clothy kitty heads bouncing in time with her excited motion.
