Mackenzie’s Corner Time

When Miss Mackenzie Rose decided to act up in the comments, I decided the only fit punishment was a little pictorial corner time. Of course, as one might expect, this idea was met with reluctance by Mackenzie. However being a good girl, Mackenzie agreed, and sent me this picture of her doing corner time. Notice any issues with it?

Of course, after a little more discussion, Mackenzie was persuaded to do her corner time as intended. Click to view Mackenzie in the corner, reconsidering her stance on trying to avoid consequences.

EDIT: But before you do that, allow me to take a moment to remind a certain Chicklet, who appears to be spreading the impression that she is above the law, encouraging others to misbehave and generally bratting with full force, that she has six more reports to hand in from the last time she acted up on SB, and I am seriously reconsidering the wisdom of any leniency I may have shown her in the past.

Thank you Mackenzie. Another lovely set of pictures and a good reminder to all as to the standards of behavior we expect here on Sappho’s Brats.

I am very glad I am so well behaved and that I can’t draw! Loki, you just got scary again and Mackenzie – great pictures – I am sure you are so contrite now……hehe

I am always well behaved! :) … well, mostly.
And yes, our little discussion was very effective.

*s* Damn good pictures Mackenzie-why have you hidden this talent from us for so long? :) Truly, “WOW”

*j* Can you draw other things as well? Like, um say a bonfire of wooden paddles burning? ;)

*j* Damn Mackenzie, when you do something you go all out. Glad to see that people are finally figuring out that you’re the real trouble maker of the bunch, with HAL in as a close second. ;) I’m just waiting for those same people to figure out that I’m the most innocent one here, with rbg as the second innocent. Well, I’ll just keep being patient since not everyone can be the brightest crayons in the box.
*j* Now how is it that someone was able to convince you to help in your own corner time/consequences? Really, that’s like someone being not so bright and cutting their own switch, or actually taking a hairbrush, paddle, or belt to the person that’s going to discipline them. Really? If someone thinks that I will ever help them “discipline” me they’ve got another thing coming “WAKE UP CALL” cuz they can expel the energy getting the implements–hello if they use that energy getting”finding” them then that’s less energy they have to use on you, duh. ;)

    Thanks Chicklet.

It wasn’t really hidden … I just found Alyx and Loki’s cheeky banter artistically inspiring ;)

I am not trouble >:( Grrrr.

Helping in my own corner time? Well … the first one didn’t go over so well and the threatened consequences of not producing the second were, umm, … unpleasant :( I felt it was in my best interest to obey (Loki has a very scary top side, by the way).
And what if no implements are required? There are a few people out there with VERY effective palms!

    [Reply]

    1chicklet Reply:

4 Mackenzie’s EYES ONLY *j* (I consider myself to be one of those bright crayons in the box.) I wouldn’t place myself around those kind of people(the ones that might have VERY effective palms), duh. Why else live in B.F.E.? Why else pick(by nature) the category least likely to have spankos? (survival insticts–some of us are born with them-well, and some suffer cuz they don’t have them.);) hehehe :D *still j* what’s w/ growling at me?(pssst-u put urself n d spotlight-not me) ;) Loki is in NZ, u r not-hello how scary can she be?? NOT VERY. You let Loki separate you from th herd–first mistake, you got nervous & panicked because of the separation instead of stalling and trying to give us (herd of brats) time to find and protect you, second mistake, you let Loki intimidate you into helping with corner time, third mistake(“don’t let them see you sweat.”) Don’t worry kiddo, stick with me and I’ll show you the ropes. ;)

*j* What are you chicken? :P My bottom is in mint condition. :D Mad/Pissed Off = Better than being pissed on ;) Don’t know about the travel size and all–I’m still confused–how tall people are under the impression that shortest is a sign of weakness—HELLOOOO?????? Ever hear of TNT? :) Loook either way–it’s not like you’re going to open your front door and there’s Loki or Alyx–we’re safe. :)

lol it would be funny if you opened your door and Loki was standing there. :)

@ mackenzie I always thought Alyx was tougher that Loki. I’ve found that small people are fierce. ;)

And it’s going to be interesting to see how someone as tall as yourself bends so easily over a cute, travel-sized knee, eh? I know I’m looking forward to seeing that. I’ll bet I’m not the only one either.

Seriously – Have you ever considered (or actually have) hid, burned, or thrown away an implement so it couldn’t be used on you?

    [Reply]

    redbottomedgirl Reply:

Yes! Ooooh burning, why didn’t I think of that? That’s a much better idea. Don’t hide an implement, because it might be stumbled upon months later after you insisted you did not know where it was and you will not have a good reason for how it got inside the back of the toilet tank. Nor will you be believed when you try to blame the cat. Trust me, y’all.

Speaking of good hiding places, try the inside of a grandfather clock. I bet all those school notices that came in the mail about my large number of truancies *cough* I mean, unexcused and unverified absences are still in the bottom of my parents’ grandfather clock. That may be the only hiding place my snooping mother never discovered. :D

Absolutely, you have to be able to forge a parent’s signature, that’s a necessity. If I’d been smart, I’d have had an ink stamp made of my mom’s..it would have saved SO much time.

Oh girl, the stories I could tell you…*grin* Sometimes I think about having kids..then I realize that I might have kids like me. *shudder*

We should totally compare notes, I bet you’ve had some very interesting adventures :D

  3. Alyx says:

*LOL!* Well, you didn’t specify the first time, did you? *g* (Luckily, Callie doesn’t make that mistake. *eg*)

Nevertheless, I am glad to see Loki made it very clear what the expectations were! And Mackenzie, you were wise to heed it. Ms. Renard does indeed possess another side to her, and it’s a foolish brat who crosses it. :) Btw, those are great pictures. I really do hope we get to see more of your talent.

Chicklet, you didn’t ask for my advice, but you also have been known to complain that people don’t send warnings till it’s too late. So I will offer my opinion that trying to gain negative attention is not a good idea. Mackenzie obviously follows the brat’s bible: A time to cause mischief, and a time to behave. A time to “poke the bear” *g* and a time to back down. A time enjoy naughtiness, and a time to pay for it.

By following that, she is ensuring we will be enjoying her antics, and she will be enjoying red-cheeked contrition, for many years to come. Okay, maybe she won’t be enjoying that part so much, but you know what I mean. :D

    [Reply]

    HAL Reply:

There’s a brats’ bible?! Really?! Geez, where do I get it? Why did no-one tell me when I was a newbie? Is there a club I shoulda joined? Damn.

Chicklet, Chicklet I do worry a little for you. One of these days you are going to get one nasty shock I fear!

Loki and Alyx are both scary – I don’t care where they abide!

    [Reply]

    1chicklet Reply:

*j* Oh, come on HAL where’s your sense of adventure? Life is too short. Maybe Loki and Alyx together are a bit scary, but separate–please. I’ve faced some pretty scary stuff in my life–and right now I can only think of 2 things that scare me.

*S* No one told me there’s a BRAT”S BIBLE. If someone could show me where to find the rules or at least write them down so I know what they are I are–I would be more than happy to learn them—but so much for those brat mentors–I guess they like leaving people hanging in the wind.

    [Reply]

    Mackenzie Reply:

No she did not specify, Alyx! I tried to tell her that! She was NOT impressed O.o
I may be bigger than her and at least a couple months older … but I think she may be scarier *nods enthusiastically*

And yes, mischief is a great deal of fun :D until you have to pay for it :(

As much as I enjoy pushing the boundaries (hey, you gotta figure out where they are, right?) and waving a toe or two over the line, I would never want to cause any real trouble or be seriously disrespectful … although we all have our bad days when the filter between mouth and brain seems to malfunction :[ All you can do then is apologize, hope for forgiveness, and try to get comfortable sleeping on your tummy.
