Best of Days, Worst of Days

So I made this addition to the Bucket series. It is kind of long and kind of harsh. But, on the upside, it also has some quite epic mischief to inspire brats everywhere, (as long as they ignore the consequences.) In this installment we must ask ourselves not only about the prices brats pay when they are disciplined, but what price the top must pay in doing the discipline. *sage nod*

The worst of the best days started innocently enough with breakfast. Breakfast time was a good time at the Bucket. The first of the three meals, both Callie and Ermie looked forward to it in their own special ways. It was a rare morning where both of them didn’t wake early and spend an hour or more waiting for the cell doors to be unlocked, and when the doors finally did open, they quickly went their separate ways to breakfast, which was impressive when one considered that they were both going in the same direction.

“See you at the Iron Pile,” Callie reminded Ermie that fateful morning before they completely lost touch in the swarm towards the food.

  1. *grin* So every time I read a new Bucket installment by either one of you, I get all happy and giddy going, “Haha! That’s brilliant!” and wondering how the other of you is going to counter it next time. I’m always awestruck by the how remarkably inventive and unpredictable you both are. This chapter, rofl, is no exception. In fact, I’m pretty certain you just raised the bar. I’m sure Alyx will see your bet and raise you. *grin* The anticipation is almost unbearable. This collaboration has got me so squirmy and giggly. Talk about unstoppable duos..you two really could conquer the world. Or cause it to implode from brattery :D Both are fun.

Callie should give Bucket Loki a cuddle, I feel bad for her. Doesn’t Callie know affection is just as important..and effective..as a spanking? Not that Loki didn’t completely earn that. It’s just the sobbing is kinda breaking my heart too. Maybe I’m a softy..

Aw thanks RBG, glad you enjoyed it. Reader squirmyness is high on my list of priorities (truly), so it’s nice to hear this installment hit the mark for you :D

*pondering* I don’t know, maybe Callie is confused over whose arse she actually beat. Might take her awhile to figure it out. :D

Reader squirmyness! hehe I like it – and yes you always achieve it :)

Great chapter. But I agree with RBG – give Loki a cuddle you big bully! And will the REAL Loki please stand up, please stand up……

Heh, methinks perhaps Alyx will not be pleased that I borrowed her characters and made one of them all kinds of mean, but, you know. People have their limits, and Callie was nearing hers to begin with, and that was before Loki got her locked up in her cell for 24 hours with a total stranger.

    Alyx Reply:

No worries, HAL. Methinks Loki (or whoever she is) will be doing a lot of standing. ;)

    Aww, sad now :(
Loki got a pretty serious thrashing there but I don’t really feel sorry for her. I do feel bad that she didn’t get any comfort after. Not even a little back rub when Callie put her to bed. That hurts :(
But Loki’s really been taking advantage of Callie and it looks like she’d just had enough. Even a Saint’s patience runs out eventually.

I think Callie feels bad and wants to go over and give her hug but she’s practicing a bit of tough love … and she’s prolly still a bit pissed. It was hard on her too, not so much physically but emotionally. She’s drained.

There’s definitely a lesson to be learned here. A fable of sorts.
It’s tough being on top. You put a lot of time and energy into taking care of and protecting (and entertaining) your brat(s) and when all you get in return is brattiness and disrespect, well, it doesn’t really make you feel so great. No one likes to feel unappreciated and/or taken advantage of.
    I think I get it.

Is sorry for being such a cheeky brat sometimes :’(

I appreciate you and your fabulous stories. BOTH of you. And I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say all the other brats here do too.

(Just in case you thought this was actually aimed at you, Mackenzie, I ain’t that subtle. If I was going to have a go at you, I’d do it directly.)

That said, if you did take some lessons away from the story, then that’s a good thing. All brats sometimes forget that their tops are human too, I think.

    Mackenzie Reply:

Just a little introspection. You should try to learn something new every day, right? I certainly did :)

Have a go at me? Well, I guess that’s good to know … if a little scary O_o

Tops as humans, hmm? I think some may be SuperHuman :D

    Alyx Reply:

A lot of great insight, Mackenzie. So I’ll overlook the “prolly”! *palm itching* ;)

Loki plotted a brilliant prank, but she conveyed the complexity of a top/bottom relationship too. An excellent chapter, which, as RBG noted, “raised the bar” and induced squirminess in several brats. Plus, Callie really expended some frustration in that one! :D

Loved the cocky way she came back into the cells, only to be brought back down to earth with a bang!
Great chapter, hate repeating myself, but I can’t help it, all the chapters are fantastic.
Back to Alyx’s turn again, hope it’s not too long to wait.
    Thanks for the entertainment!

Thanks Sandy :) It is Alyx’s turn now, who knows when she’ll pop up with some stealthy prison material for us all to enjoy :D
